How construction loan funds will be disbursed.

Residential Construction Draw Schedule

Typically at the construction loan closing, 10% of the construction loan fund will be disbursed to the builder to cover expenses for permitting, architects and other up front costs. Make sure you agree to this amount. You should consider how much of a down payment you gave the builder with the contract. Don't let the builder get too much money upfront! You could end up with too little at the end.That is why you should religiously adhere to the construction draw schedule.
